Here are a few questions to ask your videographer before you book. These can help you to figure out if this particular videographer is the right one for you. How early do you come to the wedding? Do you take pictures of pre-ceremony activities such as Bride and Groom preparation? How many minutes of footage on average do you take per wedding? Do you come with an assistant or another videographer? What do you typically wear on assignment? Do you have backup equipment, if so what types? (cameras, lights, etc) What resolution does your Video Camera shoot? (mini-DV, Beta, High Definition) How far do you travel without occurring extra costs? Have you shot at my location before? Do you come out early to check out a location? What are your prices per copy of the video? How long will it take to get my video back after the wedding? What are your payment options? How long do you stay at my wedding/reception? Can I pay on spot, if I want you to stay longer? Do you travel out of town? Who is going to video my wedding, you or somebody else? What types of special editing, if any, do you do?
