Important Pictures For Your Wedding Day

Bridal Edition : 7/9/2006

Depending on the level of experience of the photographer, you will want to consider preparing a list of pictures that you want taken on your day. Sometimes, this is a nice way to organize after the wedding has ended and guests begin mingling. You will, however, want to be careful not to be too demanding and let the photographer freely roam to get pictures. Just let the photographer know which ones are most important to you so that they are captured.

List all the important people to you and what kind of picture you want. For example, you would have some of the following combinations:

  • Bride and Her Parents
  • Groom and His Parents
  • Bride and Groom with both sets of parents
  • Groom with Bride’s siblings
  • Bride with Groom’s siblings
  • Etc.

Of course, you will modify this list for yourself, but having a checklist is important to help your day go smoothly and make sure no one is left out.

Some additional creative picture ideas are:

  • The mother of the groom pinching her son’s cheeks.
  • The children in the wedding striking a fun pose.
  • The bride being carried off or kissed by the groomsmen while groom looks on.
  • The groom being kissed or admired by the bridesmaids.
  • The bride and groom face to face with their eyes closed and heads bowed.
  • Etc.

Most photographers will have great ideas. This just to encourage you to have fun at your wedding and create moments that will last a lifetime.

Your wedding pictures are your primary memories. Make them great !
